The Miami Dark Passengers season was a "Slice of Life" quoted team owner Dexter Morgan. Miami celebrated its 1st division title and playoff appearance with a 101 win season. Event hough they lost in the Wild Card round, they are primed to slice the competition for the upcoming season. Miami's 2012 season was highlighted by brilliant pitching from starters Cuevas (17 wins), Encarnacion (17 wins), Bernard (16 wins) and Sandoval (14 wins). Cuevas, Encarnacion & Bernard all enjoyed success during their 1st season in Miami. Mid Season rookie call up Quintanilla contributed with an 8-4 record. He is poised to continue his rookie success and to show why team management repeatedly turned down all trade offers for him. The bullpen also was not to be outdone. They were lead by veteran closer Miguel Hormaza with 39 saves and a 1.62 ERA. Setup man Ramiro Rivera had a stellar ERA of 1.81.
